2022 April 15-17
We are looking forward to a weekend of family fun and camping with new and old friends. There is no Easter without traditional Hungarian egg painting, delicious pastries and smoked ham with hard boiled eggs! We'll go on hikes, jump in the pond, dance to Hungarian folk music - amongst other fun activities, co-organized with the Hungarian Christian community in Carolina.

Our campers have the opportunity to erect their own tents, build and tend fire, cook on a campfire, make their own bows and arrows, identify wild edible plants, gain hazard awareness, and more. As campers explore, they grow in self-confidence and develop a profound connection to nature.
Our campers learn about the basics of herbalism and sustainable farming, gardening and forestry practices. They learn to make syrups, teas, soaps, preserves, and simple but effective remedies, as they gain a foundation in botany, pharmacy, and DIY skills.
Experts from Hungary teach folk dancing, music, singing, and traditional arts, such as felting, beading, Easter egg-painting, carving wooden toys, or crocheting. We also teach campers to create art using objects from the natural world around them.
Campers spend their days with sports activities such as soccer, hiking, basketball, team sports, archery, or Hungarian folk dancing - we offer a variety of movement options in a non-competitive, supportive environment.
We are going to create a vegetable garden for educational purposes and to supply the camp with fresh produce. Campers will care for the animals and the farm.
In our gorgeous private lake, campers enjoy recreational swim as well as canoe, kayak, and fishing!
